The Property: Nestled in the heart of the unbridled wilderness of Tadoba in Maharashtra, Waghoba Eco Lodge by Pugdundee Safaris offers the perfect luxurious hideaway for some eco-friendly rejuvenation. With their aim to further their commitment towards sustainable tourism and conscious luxury, the 14 plush cottages have been built using handmade Adobe bricks, local stone and Guna vault roof tiles sourced from local potters.

From a large, shaded swimming pool to cool off in the face of the harsh heat of Tadoba to a well-equipped nature library and lounge area with soothing hill views. The lodge also houses a man-made lake hide specially constructed for bird watching and photography.
The Location: Set on the periphery of the buffer zone of Tadoba-Andhari National Park, the lodge is about 30 minutes from the tiger reserve’s core gates at Khutwanda and Moharli. The dense teak wood forest, bamboo groves, deep valleys and lush meadows provide a desirable habitat for not only tigers, but also other wildlife like sloth bears, wild dogs, gaur and barking deers, to name a few.

Overall Sanitisation: Our lodge staff is being trained and briefed regularly to be extra diligent in sanitising guest rooms and public areas, including – bathrooms, door handles, desk tables and chairs, all switches, telephone instruments and remote, safety latches and locks, exteriors and common areas.
Health Screening: All our staff is fully vaccinated and goes through regular health screening, including temperature checks. This helps in isolating at the very first instance and minimising spread. Till the reason is ascertained, the team member is kept in isolation. We have created isolation rooms in our lodges as a precautionary measure. All our team members, at all times, are wearing masks and keep sanitising after regular intervals.
Additional Sanitization: We have enhanced our cleaning processes to include additional sanitation and regular cleaning routines in all sections of our lodges. Sanitizer dispensers are available in all public areas for guest use. Complete guest crockery and cutlery is sanitised using UVC technology.
Our Individually Spaced Cottages: We have individual cottages in every property, spread in large forested land holdings, offering no use of elevators, corridors etc., hence maximising privacy and social distancing.
Kitchen: Highest standard of sanitisation will also be maintained in our kitchens. Our staff will enter the kitchen in fresh uniforms and wash their hands thoroughly and regularly. The staff will wear a face mask and continue to sanitise all surfaces after use, including the kitchen wares. Precautions will be taken to thoroughly wash vegetables and grocery packets as well, prior to use.
Meal Timings: We have extended our main meal timings to give you the privilege of privacy, during meals and to maintain social distancing. Our staff will be wearing masks and the same will be regularly changed.
Pools: Towels to be changed and pool loungers to be sanitised after every guest use. Chlorine to be monitored on regular intervals. Pool furniture will be arranged to maintain social distancing standards. Towel baskets to be also regularly sanitised, as will the shower area.
Transfers: We have extended precautions in the transfer vehicles booked via Pugdundee Safaris. All vehicles are sanitised before every transfer and all chauffeurs are screened. The chauffeurs will maintain hygiene standards by wearing face masks . Sanitisers will be provided in the vehicles.
Mandatory Health Checks: All guests during check-in will also go through a mandatory screening on arrival with hand held devices.
Sanitising Guest Luggage: Guest luggage and all items coming into the lodge are also sanitised on arrival.
By Air: The nearest airport to Tadoba is Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur which is 122 kms away. Nagpur is well connected to all major cities in the country like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Ahmedabad. The airport also has scheduled flights from the Middle-East making it an easy getaway for international travellers.
By Rail: Chandrapur is the closest railway station to Waghoba Eco Lodge and is about 1 hour away. Nagpur Railway Station is about 3 hours from the lodge. Although Chandrapur has limited train service, Nagpur is well connected via rail to the rest of the country.
By Road: One of the best connected Tiger reserves in the country, Tadoba is about a 2 hour drive on the 8-lane NH44 from Nagpur. Waghoba Eco Lodge is located close to Khutwanda gate. It is also well connected via road from Hyderabad, Raipur, and Pench National Park.

Change of Date: If you need to amend your travel dates, 1 change in dates can be done at no additional charge, provided that the change is made at least 10 days prior to the original arrival date and is subject to availability for the newly requested dates. Please note that the final decision is at the discretion of the Hotel.
Payment: 100% of the payment amount will be required to be paid at the time of booking.
Hotel Cancellation Policy: All bookings can be cancelled and qualify for a 100% refund in the form of AVcredits, provided it is done strictly XXX days prior to check-in date. Post that, any cancellation, including a no-show on the day of arrival, will incur a full payment. Refunds in the original mode of payment would be possible with a 3.5% transaction charge.

Tadoba Jungle Safari: The Tadoba landscape has a mix of grasslands and dry deciduous forest, allowing for better visibility and hence better wildlife sightings. A guided jungle safari in an open 4x4 jeep being engulfed in the wild charms of the traversing forests is an experience of a lifetime. The safaris in Tadoba are run by the locals in order to promote employment. Experienced Pugdundee naturalists are also available on prior booking.
Cycling Tour in Tadoba: Explore and immerse yourself in the lush surroundings and take in the untouched wilderness of the area with a cycling trip organised by the lodge. Cycle around the adjoining forests or through the countryside to Irai Dam. On prior booking, the lodge can arrange a guide to accompany you or even prepare a picnic basket for you to enjoy.
Boat Ride in Tadoba: An ideal activity for birders and photographers, guests of the lodge can book boat rides on the backwaters of Irai lake. The boating facility, organised by the forest department, starts from a point 30 minutes away from the lodge. Keep your eyes peeled for the Crested Pochard, Grey Heron, Stork Billed Kingfisher and Cotton Goose. Many migratory birds also make appearances during the winter. Ramdegi Temple in Tadoba About 1 hour away from the lodge, is the charming rural village of Ramdegi. The idyllic countryside, lush verdant fields and a temple dedicated to Lord Rama, takes you back in time. The temple and the surrounding area attract tourists and pilgrims alike. Apart from the temple, Ramdegi also has Buddha sculptures at Buddha Vihar. Located within the buffer zone of Tadoba, the village is home to a large number of sloth bears and is believed to have witnessed Tigers as well.
